Ingredients
  

  • 2 large ripe bananas (mashed)
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg (beaten)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  • In a bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
  • Stir in the melted butter.
  • Add sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla. Mix well.
  • Sprinkle in baking soda and salt. Stir to combine.
  • Add flour and mix until no streaks remain.
  • Fold in optional nuts or chocolate chips if using.
  • Pour into prepared loaf pan and bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

You can add a sprinkle of cinnamon for a warm touch or swap the sugar for honey for a healthier option. This banana bread freezes well too!
